The 2024 Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation will be held in Beijing from September 4th to 6th.
Both China and Africa will, centering on the theme of “Joining Hands for Modernization and Building a High-Level China-Africa Community with a Shared Future”, renew friendship, discuss cooperation and envision the future.
This is another reunion of the big family of China-Africa friendship following the Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation in 2006, the Johannesburg Summit in 2015 and the Beijing Summit in 2018. It is also the largest home diplomatic event hosted by China in recent years with the largest number of foreign leaders attending.
Africa can be divided into five regions according to geographical location: North Africa, East Africa, West Africa, Central Africa and South Africa. The details are as follows:
North Africa: It refers to the vast area from north of the Sahara Desert in Africa to the Mediterranean coast, including seven countries such as Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Morocco, Sudan and Western Sahara.
East Africa: It refers to the vast Indian Ocean coastal countries from the Red Sea and the coast of the Gulf of Aden in the north to Mozambique in the south, including 18 countries such as Eritrea, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Mozambique, Madagascar, Seychelles, Mauritius and Comoros.
West Africa: It refers to the vast area from the north shore of the Gulf of Guinea in Africa, the southwest of the Sahara Desert to the Atlantic coast, mainly including 16 countries such as Nigeria, Benin, Ghana, Togo, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Senegal, Gambia, Mauritania, Mali, Niger, Cape Verde and Burkina Faso.
Central Africa: It refers to the countries in the middle of the African continent, mainly including nine countries such as Angola, Congo (Brazzaville), Congo (Kinshasa), Equatorial Guinea, Gabon, Central African Republic, Chad, Cameroon, Sao Tome and Principe.
South Africa: It refers to the countries in the southern region of Africa, including five countries such as Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, Swaziland and Lesotho.

2024年中非合作论坛峰会将于9月4日至6日在北京举行。
中非双方将围绕“携手推进现代化，共筑高水平中非命运共同体”这一主题，共叙友情，共商合作，共话未来。
这是继中非合作论坛2006年北京峰会、2015年约翰内斯堡峰会、2018年北京峰会之后，中非友好大家庭的又一次大团圆，也是中国近年来举办的规模最大、外国领导人出席最多的主场外交。
非洲按照地理位置，可分为北非、东非、西非、中非和南非五个地区 。具体如下：
北非：指非洲撒哈拉沙漠以北直到地中海沿岸的广大地区，包括埃及、利比亚、突尼斯、阿尔及利亚、摩洛哥、苏丹和西撒哈拉等 7 个国家。
东非：指北起红海、亚丁湾沿岸，南至莫桑比克的广阔印度洋沿岸国家，包括厄立特里亚、埃塞俄比亚、南苏丹、吉布提、索马里、肯尼亚、乌干达、卢旺达、布隆迪、坦桑尼亚、赞比亚、津巴布韦、马拉维、莫桑比克、马达加斯加、塞舌尔、毛里求斯和科摩罗等 18 个国家。
西非：指非洲几内亚湾北岸，撒哈拉沙漠西南部，西至大西洋沿岸的广大地区，主要包括尼日利亚、贝宁、加纳、多哥、科特迪瓦、利比里亚、塞拉利昂、几内亚、几内亚比绍、塞内加尔、冈比亚、毛里塔尼亚、马里、尼日尔、佛得角和布基纳法索等 16 个国家。
中非：指非洲大陆中部的国家，主要包括安哥拉、刚果（布）、刚果（金）、赤道几内亚、加蓬、中非共和国、乍得、喀麦隆、圣多美和普林西比等 9 个国家。
南非：指非洲南部地区的国家，包括博茨瓦纳、纳米比亚、南非、斯威士兰和莱索托等 5 个国家。
